Kinjo shared this video with me a while back and I thought that the presenter hit the nail on the head with regard to the bereavement process...that we don't move on from grief, but rather, we move forward with grief. Just wanted to post it up in hopes it helps someone else as much as it helped me. Feel free to discuss!

I love this video and appreciate Nora McInery's funny and irreverent approach to talking about loss. There is so much in her 15-minute talk to unpack and think about, but here are some of the things that I think resonated the most with me (spoiler alert: don't read further if you haven't watched the video yet...each person should watch and discover these and other meaningful points for themselves): - Our loved one is something in indelible in our lives.
- We don't "move on" from our loved on, but rather we "move forward" with them.
- Love for the deceased and love for another are not opposing forces--we can do both.
- We should avoid closing ourselves around a loss and making it the center of our life.
- We don't tell people to "get over" or "move on" from joy and happiness.
- We can "multi-task" grief and feel happy and sad at the same time.
Thank you for sharing this! I think any person suffering a loss could very much benefit from watching it.
