Sometimes it's big things like starting a scrapbook or a creating a memorial; sometimes it's small things, like starting a project that you will enjoy or having a night out with friends. What helped inch you toward healing this week?

Sometimes it's big things like starting a scrapbook or a creating a memorial; sometimes it's small things, like starting a project that you will enjoy or having a night out with friends. What helped inch you toward healing this week? I try to regularly schedule activities each week that are good distractions from grieving...for example, a dinner/TV night with friends, Sunday dinner takeout, or going for a scenic drive. I live a fat hour from the Shenandoah River/Blue Ridge Mountains, and it's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the DC area from time to time.
I think our sanity requires us to take a break every once in a while! But there needs to be a balance. Distract, grieve...lather, rinse, repeat.
